Yes. If you or your spouse are domiciled in Colombia, you can generally divorce here even if the marriage took place in another country. We first register the foreign marriage certificate (translated and apostilled) in Colombia, then file the divorce before a notary (mutual consent) or a family judge (contested).
Usually not. Most family proceedings can be handled through a power of attorney granted at a Colombian consulate abroad or apostilled. We represent you before the courts and notaries so you can remain in your home country.
Not automatically. A foreign ruling must go through a recognition process called exequatur before the Supreme Court of Justice to have legal effect in Colombia. We handle that procedure end to end, including translations and legalization.
